The Village of Wales is located in the eastern central part of Waukesha County. In 2010, Wales had a population of 2,549 which is now estimated to be 2,582 residents.
Wales’ location makes it a great place to live for those who enjoy being in the great outdoors as much as they can. The Wales community park is a great spot to take the kids as there are baseball and soccer fields, a basketball court, and a playground available. The park is also home to the Wales Community Disc Golf Course. The course has 18 holes of disc golf fun for players of all ages and skill levels. The Glacial Drumlin State Trail runs through the center of town and is a great option for those looking to do some long distance biking. The Legend at Brandybrook Country Club is located in Wales and is Wisconsin’s only 54-hole private country club. These three courses provide a mix of different challenges and design styles to challenge even the best golfer. The country club also has tennis courts and a pool for it’s members.
There’s plenty to do in the neighboring cities as well. If you want to head out on the water, you’ll have the pleasure of picking one of the many lakes in the Lake Country area. All of these lakes have water clarity levels of moderate or higher and are perfect for any activity on the water. The area is also home to many museums and galleries where you can explore history and art. With the village’s close location to Waukesha, day trips to the city are fairly easy to plan.
