The Village of Nashotah is located in the Lake Country area of Waukesha County and has a population of 1,395 residents. The village sits on the southern shore of Forest Lake and is near the eastern shore of Nagawicka Lake.
Forest Lake on the village’s northern border is a smaller lake at only 22 acres, but has clear water and decent fishing to make up for it. In this lake you can find Panfish, Bass, and Pike. On the other hand, Nagawicka Lake is 981 acres in size and get as deep as 90 feet. There is a wide range of species in this lake from Panfish to Pike and everything in between. The lake’s size also opens it up to water sports like tubing, water skiing, and jet skiing. On the south eastern shores of the lake lies the Nagawicka Lake Yacht Club. The NLYC hosts events on Nagawicka Lake where sailors from yacht clubs around the area come together and race each other in a friendly competition setting. The races are truly something to see if you happen to be on the lake at the time.
